Welcome to Nepal. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), one of our staff will pick you up from the airport and drive you to the mentioned hotel. Once checked in, we will give a brief overview of your trip to Nepal with a short expectation setting.
Overnight at Kathmandu
Kathmandu, known as the "City of Temples," is a cultural and historical center with numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In half a day, you'll explore key landmarks like Swayambhunath and Boudhanath, two of the oldest and largest Buddhist stupas, offering insights into Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhist culture. You'll also visit Patan Durbar Square, a prime example of 16th-century architecture and Newari culture, with a museum showcasing Malla-era wooden art. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Post Breakfast, we take a private car/tourist bus/flight to Lumbini based on your options. Once reach Lumbini, we will chill and relax on-self to overnight at the Hotel at Lumbini. If taking flight, we reach early to sightsee Mayadevi Temple and the surroundings.
Overnight at Lumbini
After breakfast at the hotel, our English-speaking experienced guide takes you to a world heritage site, Lumbini which includes several monasteries, Mayadevi Temple being the prominent one. Mayadevi temple includes the Shakya tank which has the remains of the 3rd-century brick structure and cross wall system. Besides, the inscribed Ashoka Pillar testifies to the spot being the birthplace of Buddha making it one of the holiest sites of the world. We explore the UNESCO-listed territory to visit several other monasteries like Chinese Monasteries, Thai Monasteries, Japanese Monastery, Korean Monastery and several others under construction. One of the other important sightseeing points within Lumbini is World Peace Stupa, one of two in Nepal. After spending the whole day in the area, we return to the Hotel late afternoon or in the evening.
Overnight at Lumbini
Post Breakfast, we head back to Kathmandu via air or road; either by private car or tourist bus. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, our staff will pick you up from the airport/bus station to assist your check-in. Upon early arrival, you can choose to roam around Thamel for shopping and personal time.
